TTT #1: "Ask Me Anything" with Zubair Junjunia and the ZNotes Team

The Tomato Timer Mar 3, 2019

ZNotes began as a simple blog on WordPress, all from Zubair's IGCSE notes. In year 9, he worked with a few of his friends to prepare resources for the entire year group. And it was a culmination of these events, with fallbacks along the way, that ultimately led ZNotes to become what you know today. In 2016, ZNotes got its first contributor, who volunteered to provide English notes. Since then, we have grown into a global community of users supported by a dedicated team of contributors.

In this episode, Zubair takes us through his entrepreneurial journey of building ZNotes, after which the team answers your questions. Here are the key takeaways!

Failures

Cliché, but it will always stay relevant: failures are a part of success. They are bound to occur along your path, and it's what you learn from that that ultimately leads you to shape success. Also, ensure to define your definition of success instead of being influenced by societal standards of the same. Have your own goals and work towards them accordingly, with the preparedness to tackle the downs.

Consistency

Work consistently towards your goals, bit by bit, instead of trying to approach a whole chunk together. Do something that you are passionate about, and this might not be too difficult. Provided you are in the right space of mind, working each day for a reasonable amount of time would not get exhausting.

Impact

Irrespective of whatever you do, have a clear idea of what the result of your achieving it will be. What will be the impact on your community? How can you build upon your idea to drive a meaningful change in an area that you care about? Think of the bigger picture, and do what you can to have a positive social impact.
